Gandhi is a constant source of inspiration for me- who he was and what the world still has to learn from his life. I also love the apple manifesto- the think different text- cos it speaks to who i am (especiallyy the crazy bit) "... because the ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do..."

I still don't understand why Apple is an "okay" multinational corporation. Your sleek and sexy iPods are made in sweatshops in China.

Think about it.

thanks for bringing that discussion to my attention- your link does not work by the way- leads to 'page not found' - would love to see what you were linking to so please, if you could repost the link to the intended page. I have trawled the internet now - a bit at least - to find out if this is true - and have come to my own conclusions that he did not 'hate' black people- he made some misiguided comments early on in his writings before he went to india - and later on saw how he was wrong and took another stand that was not racist. We all make mistakes and learn, i guess. I am not making excuses for him, please understand.

The article i found that i felt expressed both sides of the discussion was this one - [link]

If you have any more info, i would love to read it.

Thanks again.

peace.

How could one small man of color defeat the awesome power of the British Empire? Ghandi will always be the role model for peaceful and meaningful change. It takes true courage to just say" No, I will not accept that and I am willing to pay for the consequences of defying you."

Wow. I just found a new favourite quote.

I've been telling people this for years - I'm glad there's someone who agrees.

:-D

Here's to the crazy ones...
